Refund Policy

The Ripon Medical Center Triathlon is not able to offer refunds for any reason, as we offer all runners the opportunity to transfer their registration to another person or event, change their distance or defer to next year. (This includes those who experience illness, injury or any other condition that may prevent them from participating in the event.)

Refund Policy

Distance Changes

On or before Friday, July 3, at 12pm (CT):

  • When changing to a different event, the registrant will automatically pay the difference between the events, if the event they are changing to is more expensive.
  • No refunds if the registrant is changing to a less expensive event.
Friday, July 3, 12:01pm (CT) through Friday July 17, 11:59pm (CT):
  • A participant may change distances, but there will be a $10 change fee associated with this change.
  • No distance changes are allowed on Race Day.
How to Change Your Race Distance in RunSignUp
  • Begin by logging into your RunSignUp account, and go to your “Profile” page. On the “Profile” page, see Races under "Upcoming Events." This shows a list of all Race(s) that are coming up.
  • You are able to manage the registration for the Race by clicking "Manage Registration".
  • From the top bar, choose "Transfer Event."
  • Choose "Start Transfer." Follow the instructions and complete your registration.

Distance Changes

Race to Race Transfers

On or before Friday, July 3, at 12pm (CT):

  • May transfer to any Race Day Events event.
  • When transferring to a different race, the registrant will be credited for their original amount minus the transfer fee of $10. This credit can be used to cover the event cost in the new event.
  • No refunds if transferring to a different race of lesser cost. Registrants will still pay a $10 transfer fee.
After Friday, July 3, at 12pm (CT):
  • Absolutely no race transfers within 2 weeks of Race Day.
How to Transfer to a New Race in RunSignUp
  • Begin by logging into your RunSignUp account, and go to your “Profile” page. On the “Profile” page, see Races under "Upcoming Events." This shows a list of all Race(s) that are coming up.
  • You are able to manage the registration for the Race by clicking "Manage Registration".
  • From the top bar, choose "Transfer to Another Race." Follow the instructions and complete your registration.

Race to Race Transfers

BIB EXCHANGES (PARTICIPANT TO PARTICIPANT)

On or before Friday, July 3 at 12pm (CT):

  • $10 bib exchange fee paid by the original registrant.
  • The original registrant may give their registration to a new registrant, pays the $10 fee, then the new registrant can register at a $0 fee. There are no refunds and any money exchange is up to the parties involved.
Friday, July 3 , 12:01pm (CT) through Friday, July 17, 11:59pm (CT):
  • $25 bib exchange fee paid by original registrant.
  • There are no bib exchanges at Packet Pick Up or on Race Day.
How to Start a Bib Exchange in RunSignUp
  • Begin by logging into your RunSignUp account, and go to your “Profile” page. On the “Profile” page, see Races under “Upcoming Events.” This shows a list of all Race(s) that are coming up.
  • You are able to manage the registration for the Race by clicking “Manage Registration“.
  • From the top bar, choose “Transfer To Another Runner.”
  • Enter the new registrant’s First Name, Last Name and E-mail Address. Then click “Transfer as a Gift.”
  • You’ll be asked to complete payment for the transfer fee to complete your portion of the transfer.
  • MAKE SURE to let the new registrant know that they’ll receive an e-mail from RunSignUp inviting them to register. They will need to complete registration for the process to be completed.

BIB EXCHANGES (PARTICIPANT TO PARTICIPANT)

DEFER TO NEXT YEAR

On or before Friday, July 6, at 12pm (CT):

  • Participants will not receive a refund, but may defer to next year by paying a $25 fee.
  • We do not offer refunds in lieu of deferrals.
  • Deferrals may only be made for one year. A participant may not defer again the following year.
After Friday, July 6, at 12pm (CT):
  • Absolutely no deferrals within 2 weeks of Race Day.
How to Defer to Next Year in RunSignUp
  • Begin by logging into your RunSignUp account, and go to your “Profile” page. On the “Profile” page, see Races under “Upcoming Events.” This shows a list of all Race(s) that are coming up.
  • You are able to manage the registration for the Race by clicking “Manage Registration“.
  • From the top bar, choose “Defer Registration.” Follow instructions and complete.

DEFER TO NEXT YEAR

SHIRT SIZE CHANGES

On or before Friday, July 6, at 12pm (CT):

  • Shirt sizes may be changed, dependent upon availability of shirt inventory.
After Friday, July 6 at 12pm (CT):
  • If a participant needs to change a shirt size, they must pick up the size originally ordered and may exchange post-race, dependent upon leftover inventory.

  • You are able to manage the registration for the Race by clicking “Manage Registration“.
  • From the top bar, choose “Giveaway Management.” Follow instructions and update to your preferred shirt size.

SHIRT SIZE CHANGES

Although Wisconsin is starting to reopen, we are still living in a time of uncertainty. We have been working diligently to determine how to effectively proceed with hosting each of the individual Wisconsin Tri Series events in a safe manner for our participants, staff, volunteers and spectators. We have already postponed a few of the series events to ensure we would be adhering to public health guidelines and practicing all recommendations. However, we feel it would be irresponsible of us to proceed with the series while these guidelines and recommendations are still evolving and the future is still so unclear. And therefore we are deeply saddened to be announcing the cancellation of the 2020 Wisconsin Tri Series.

This is not the news we want to be sharing with all of you as we know so many of you want to be out there racing - and trust us, we do too! We empathize with your disappointment and we are immensely grateful for your patience and support over the past few months. We understand that no option we provide works for everyone. We ask for your understanding during these critical times for our organization. But for now, it's important that we are prioritizing the safety of all participants, staff, volunteers and spectators.

All registered participants will be given the option to defer their entry to 2021 or they may choose to donate their entry fee to be put towards funding free entries to front line workers. Further details will be emailed to all registered participants on these options as well as an exclusive offer for one month free membership from Pinnacle Health & Fitness.

We are not giving up on 2020 quite yet though, we are keeping our eyes and ears open to the possibility of trying to host an event at some point yet later this year and will share further details as we know more. Stay healthy and safe and we hope to see you all again soon!
